Reading Lists
RUSI of NSW volunteers Theo Fox and Carol Miller have completed reading lists on topics of interest. The lists draw together the online topic references published by the RUSI of NSW and those in the RUSI of NSW Library. The references cover all genre of publication, Library volumes, online articles, and online video. Useful compendia for those researching a particular topic. Do note, as yet only one topic is included on a trial basis, others will follow.
Anzac Day
Anzac Day is when all Australians commemorate the sacrifice of those who served and in some cases made the ultimate sacrifice for their nation. Men and women from all indigenous and immigrant backgrounds have served in the Australian Defence Force. This national day, 25 April, is the anniversary of the landing at Gallipoli in 1915 when our forces were first committed to battle in the war of 1914-18 where more Australians died that in any other conflict.

Field Marshal Sir Thomas Blamey
Field Marshal Sir Thomas Blamey GBE KCB CMG CStJ DSO ED, brilliant Chief of Staff of the Australian Corps in 1918 who served as a Reservist between the wars then commander of the AIF in the Mediditerranean theatre 1940-42 including command of the Anzac Corps in Greece 1940 then Commander in Chief of Allied Land Forces, South West Pacific 1942 until the end of the war.
